At NOMB Changes, we believe that everyone deserves to feel the rush of riding a wave. That’s why we’ve teamed up with SwissWaveAcademy in Switzerland to present you ‘Waves of Inclusion’, two heart-pumping, joy-spreading surfing events tailored for individuals with disabilities. This isn’t just about surfing; it’s about breaking barriers and celebrating every individual’s ability to join in the fun in the Surf line-up.
Experience the thrill of surfing on a standing wave, accessible to all, no matter your experience or ability level – at Oana Surf, Lucerne’s city-wave in the summer/autumn of 2025.
Later in the summer we will enjoy the adventure of wakesurfing on Lucerne’s most pristine lake. Our expert friends at SwissWaveAcademy will be by your side every step of the way, ensuring you feel safe, supported, and free to enjoy every moment.
Our dream
Waves of Inclusion aims to promote social integration, boost self-efficacy, and create a strong sense of community among participants. This project provides an accessible surfing experience that promotes not just physical activity but also mental well-being and social interaction.
We envision a world where everyone can share the joy and community of surfing. With Waves of Inclusion, we want to take a big step towards more inclusive and supportive communities. Through surfing, we aim to promote social integration and boost self-confidence, all while having a fantastic time riding partywaves together.
Next: city and wakesurf waves
Your Citywave experience will be held at Oana Surf in Ebikon, Lucerne. After meeting for a welcome drink and getting to know eachother, you will surf for about 30 minutes. Supported by our experienced coaches and encouraging team.
Your wakesurf adventure will be surrounded by good vibes, stunning landscape and experienced coaches. After meeting at the beautiful Line Up Location in Beckenried (Nidwalden) you hop onto the SwissWaveAcademy boat which takes you to the middle of the Vierwaldstaettersee close to Lucerne. Professional introduction to the surfteam, the boat, the boards and the wave will help you gain confidence. There will be a whole team supporting your surfing, so don´t worry.
You will surf for about 30minutes, enjoying the rest of the time on the board; snacking, cheering and getting the sunshine in. We cannot wait to shred with you!

Kai
Kai is the founder of the SwissWaveAcademy. Surfing is his greatest passion – whether in the ocean, behind the boat or on a standing wave. Thanks to SWA, Kai has found the best job for himself and has set himself ambitious goals: every one of his customers and every member of the SWA family should experience a sense of achievement. Seeing and experiencing progress makes him happy. He certainly has the necessary know-how.

You want to get wet? If you want to take part in this unforgettable surfing experience, there’s a participation fee of 120 CHF for the Oana Wave event (covering entrance fees etc.) and 140 CHF for the wakesurf event (covering petrol and equipment). If you don’t have the funds but are eager to join, don’t be shy, get in touch and we check if we can get your participation sponsored. We aim to make surfing accessible to everyone, that includes every budget.

Not in Lucerne but still want to get involved? By donating to us you will be an active part of Waves of Inclusion. Please note that we are currently collecting donations without a project specific purpose. This gives us the opportunity to use the funds available flexible and to realise as many projects as possible. However, in the next step we give you the opportunilty to let us know that your heart beats for Waves of Inclusion.
