Kirchgemeinde Köniz, this event brings together individuals from all walks of life, emphasizing the unifying spirit of the surfing community.

Repeating the success of our Surfdays
Our Surfday Bern has been an amazing success in previous years. We love to look back to the August 2024 event at Badi Köniz. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and community bonding. Families and individuals came together to enjoy surfing sessions, reflecting the event’s commitment to inclusion and community spirit.
In 2025, another great outdoor day is ahead of us, and we are really looking forward to meet you at the Badi Köniz in Bern. Join us for a fabulous summer day in the heart of Switzerland. Family and friends are also welcome.
I am thrilled to be your host for another fabulous day of surfing in the heart of Bern. As a surfer, pastor, and a NOMB Changer, my life revolves around community, faith, and, of course, catching waves! Surfday Activities Include
Balance Boards and Pedalos: From Midday on, our space will be transformed with various balancing devices, creating a playful and safe environment for all ages.
Surf Coaching: Led by experienced surfcoaches our participants of all skill levels can enjoy surfing in the pool. We cater for everyone, ensuring that fears are managed and confidence is built.
Pop-Up Training on Land: Before hitting the water, join us on the grass for a pop-up session to get you surf-ready.
Looking after you at the Surfday
Looking after you will be co-founders Chicken and Doro, local pastor Philipp Kohli and some of our finest volunteers. In and out of the water you find smiling faces willing to help you have the best of times.
Chicken
Chicken is a passionate advocate for impactful, sustainable change. With a dynamic and creative approach, Chicken brings innovative ideas to the table, empowering individuals and communities through NOMB Changes’ projects.
Doro
Doro is a passionate outdoor enthusiast, certified mountain guide, and mediator. Doro brings her love for nature and adventure into every project. With a deep belief in the power of the outdoors to connect and empower, she inspires others to embrace challenges and create positive change.
Philipp
Philipp is a Reformed pastor of the Köniz parish in Bern, with a primary focus on children and families.
He is not primarily looking for the depth of the water, but rather the depth of encounters and conversations. He truly has a talent for bringing people together.

How to get involved
Everyone is welcome. Sign up for our newsletter and be the first to find out when bookings are open for the surfday Bern this year. The surfday will take place on Saturday, the 16th August 2025. There are several ways for you to get involved in this epic surfday in Bern:
- You (& your family) can join the surfing fun as participants in the Badi Köniz.
- You can be an active NOMB Changer and assist our operations on the day as a volunteer.
- If you can't make it to Bern that day, you can still get involved and support what we do by donating to us.
