NOMB Changes is based on Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands — a place where waves, sun and community meet. Here at home, we collaborate with local NGOs and initiatives that make the ocean accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or mental ability.
Qualified Support in the Water
Our co-founder Angie Ringleb is a qualified and certified surf coach with over a decade of professional coaching experience worldwide. Combining her background in accessible surf education, ocean safety, and performance coaching, she supports various local NGOs and community groups across the island.
Angie’s work focuses on creating safe, empowering surf experiences while also strengthening cooperation between local inclusion initiatives.

Local Partnerships
Working hand in hand with other local associations is key to us. It allows resources, knowledge, and communities to connect, creating stronger, more sustainable opportunities for everyone on the island to access the ocean together. Throughout the year, Angie joins training sessions and ocean days organised by these inspirational organizations:
Play & Train, a non-profit promoting adaptive sports and equal opportunities for athletes with disabilities
Fuerte Tribu, offering inclusive surf programs for local youth and families
Fuertevida – Parkinson No Limits, empowering people living with Parkinson’s to stay active and connected through movement and the sea
Each collaboration reflects our shared goal: to make the ocean a place of inclusion, confidence, and joy. We deeply admire the incredible work these organisations do on the island and feel truly grateful to support their efforts and be part of their impact.
How the Support Works
When a local organisation needs support for a para surf event or adaptive activity, Angie is invited to join as a volunteer surf coach.
Before each session, she receives a briefing about the participants and their specific needs. Depending on the ocean conditions, activities can include surfing, SUP, swimming, or beach-based mobility training.
Angie follows the program of the host organisation, while actively contributing her expertise, coaching energy, and creative adaptive techniques.
All sessions are completely non-profit, and Angie’s work is offered free of charge — a direct contribution to building a stronger, more connected community of local inclusion projects.
A beautiful example: Christopher’s Story
A highlight of this ongoing collaboration was Angie’s work with Christopher Fernandéz, a local para surfer whom she coached and accompanied at competition level. Together, they trained on Fuerteventura, working on positioning, timing, and mental strength — skills that carried Christopher into the national para surf scene. Why Our Support Matters
Through these collaborations, NOMB Changes supports the growth of local adaptive surf initiatives while creating a ripple effect of inclusion and cooperation. We believe that meaningful change also begins locally — in shared line-ups, in small communities, and in the courage to open the ocean to everyone.
By supporting with professional coaching where it’s needed, we contribute to local teams carrying out their programs safely and confidently. Our involvement helps that more sessions can take place, more participants can join, and that inclusion remains an active, lived practice in the island’s surf community.
